Inside the 2nd enclosure, facing the northern tower of the third gate’s fortification, still stand the one aisled Venetian church of Agios Dimitrios (late 17th-early 18th c.).
The church, constructed with well cut porous blocks of stone, has a rectangular shaped form, of general dimensions 9,40×4,60 m. and is covered by a barrel vault. Its longitudinal sides incorporate in the width of their masonry three pointed arches.
